OUR POLICIES HAVE CHANGED TO COMPLY WITH WORKSAFE BC AND HEALTH REGULATIONS. PLEASE READ BELOW THE CHANGES TO HOW WE OPERATE.
We are going to be following all advice from BC Health officials and Worksafe BC to alter how we operate and the services and amenities we have available. We are still working to develop our operating plans and will be reworking our response constantly in coordination with advice from government and health officials.
The procedures we will have in place include the following;
Health Requirement for Guests:
No person will be allowed to stay who displays any symptoms of COVID-19.
Hand Sanitizer will be provided at the entrance, guests will be asked to use this every time they enter the building.
At this time we will NOT be taking international travellers or any person who has travelled internationally in the 14 days prior to their arrival.
We will be practicing social distancing in our public spaces and ask all guests not to remain in the hallways or lobby longer than necessary. Please keep 6 feet distance from other guests and staff. Check-in will be limited to 1 group in the lobby at a time. Under the new advice from health officials we will also ask guests to wear a face covering or mask when in any area of the hotel other than your room. Our staff will be wearing masks and gloves at all times. We will not be providing masks to customers, we ask that our guests come prepared.
No unregistered guests will be allowed to enter rooms.
There will be no in-room housekeeping provided. Guests will be provided a time when garbage can be left outside their room in a closed garbage bag and our staff will collect it. If you require a change of sheets there will be a time where you can place your used bedding in a closed garbage bag outside your door, hotel staff will collect it and provide you with a change of sheets which will be left outside the room.
We will be trying whenever possible to leave our rooms empty for 24 hours or longer between guests, and we are limiting the total number of rooms we have available to be able to provide this spacing. Rooms will be cleaned and disinfected in their entirety between guests. With the current number of reservations we have on certain dates in July and August this may not be possible on certain dates.
Check-In and Check-out:
Under advice from health officials our staff cannot enter a room for 3 hours after a guest has checked out.
This will mean that in some cases Check-In times may be pushed back to 5 pm to allow for proper room cleaning.
There will be no late check-outs allowed, 11AM will be the latest.
Payment for all reservations will be done at check-in on a valid credit card which can be pre-authorized. For check out we ask our guests to leave their keys in the room and inform the front desk they are leaving. Any incidental charges incurred will be charged to the credit card left on file and a receipt will be emailed to the guest. If you require a paper receipt we can of course still provide one.
As of now we will not be taking walk-in guests. This will help allow us to provide proper time between rooms being occupied.
Changes to Amenities/Services:
We will not be running our ice machine.
In room kettles, trays, ice buckets, magazines will be removed.
There will be no self-service coffee station in the lobby and no coffee or tea offered to guests. Hot water and tea may still be available at the front desk by request.
There will be no luggage drop-off for guests prior to check-in and no storage facilities will be available.
Our Kitchenette room will have all dishes and cups removed from the room. Please bring your own dishware if you intend to use the microwave or toaster oven.
While we will still allow pets with the normal pet agreement and fees, no animal may be left unattended in the property at any point during your stay.
Our front desk hours will likely change and may vary during your stay.
The changes we will be making are still evolving as we receive more information. We will endeavor to keep our guests aware of our plans as we develop them.
